1. About Caudal

Caudal operates a supply-first platform that produces evaluation and training data for frontier AI models. The platform connects AI labs and research teams (demand side) with a vetted roster of contributors — engineers, researchers, and domain experts (supply side).

2. Eligibility

To contribute on the Caudal platform you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal right to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction
• Complete the Caudal assessment and be accepted as a contributor
• Provide accurate information throughout the application and onboarding process

3. Contributor Obligations

As a contributor you agree to:

• Complete tasks to the quality standards described in the Learning Centre and task specifications
• Submit only your own original work unless otherwise specified
• Maintain confidentiality of any task content, client information, or platform data you access
• Not share, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any platform content, assessment materials, or client data
• Promptly disclose any conflicts of interest

4. Intellectual Property

Task deliverables. All work product you submit through the platform is assigned to Caudal and its clients upon acceptance. You waive any moral rights to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Platform content. All platform content — including assessments, learning materials, and software — is owned by Caudal and protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your background IP. You retain ownership of any intellectual property you bring to the platform that is not incorporated into a deliverable.

5. Payments

Contributors are paid per accepted task at rates set by Caudal. Payment is conditional on acceptance of the deliverable by our review team. Caudal reserves the right to reject deliverables that do not meet quality standards.

Payment terms, rates, and methods are communicated separately and may change with reasonable notice.

Contributors are responsible for their own taxes and reporting obligations in their jurisdiction.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Submit AI-generated or plagiarised content as your own work
• Attempt to circumvent or game the assessment process
• Access or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
• Introduce malicious code or interfere with platform operations
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users or Caudal staff

7. Suspension & Termination

Caudal may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, fraud, quality failure, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@gocaudal.com.

Termination does not affect Caudal's ownership of accepted deliverables or any accrued payment obligations.

8. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Caudal does not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any particular volume of work will be available.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Caudal's liability to you for any cause whatsoever is limited to amounts paid to you by Caudal in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Caudal is incorporated. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
