Caudal ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Caudal platform at gocaudal.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect

Task submissions. We collect files and content you upload as part of task delivery.
Usage data. We may collect logs, browser type, IP address, and pages visited for security and performance purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the Caudal platform
- Evaluate contributor applications and match contributors to work
- Process task submissions and administer payments
- Communicate with you about your account, tasks, and updates
- Maintain the security and integrity of the platform
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Cookies & Local Storage
Essential session cookies are set by Clerk (our authentication provider) to maintain your signed-in session. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
Browser local storage is used to preserve your assessment progress, onboarding state, and user preferences between page loads. This data is stored only on your device.
Analytics cookies (optional) may be used to understand how the platform is used in aggregate. You can opt out via the cookie banner.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
Clerk — we use Clerk for authentication. Clerk processes your email address and session data under its own privacy policy at clerk.com/privacy.
Replit — our platform is hosted on Replit infrastructure. Replit's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data processing.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and application data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@gocaudal.com.
